The event is to be held on Saturday 28 June at the Laugardalur Park near Reykjavik from 5pm.
Entry is free and the event is set to be one of the biggest concerts the country has ever seen.
The gig has been arranged to raise awareness of the destruction of the Icelandic wilderness, and was inspired by the book 'Dreamland: a self-help manual to a frightened nation', written by another of the festival's organisers, Andri Snaer Magnason.
